Cover reveal for Christmas with Dragons

Those of you following the Dragon’s Breath Series may already know there will be another book coming out on December 18th.  The official title is “Christmas with Dragons: A Post Apocalyptic Holiday Tale.”  Though there will still be some serious elements in this installment, it will also have a lighter side, which is why I chose to have a fun cover designed for it.

For those wondering what to expect (spoiler alert if you haven’t read book 3 yet), Bailey will be seeing her father again, you’ll get to see what it is like now that she and Aidan are living together, and there is the dragon mating festival where Ruari is likely to get saddled with a mate.  I’ve thrown in a couple of other plot threads as well to round things out, which will make this book on the longer side and more of a short novel (around 45-50k words).  UPDATE– For that reason, I’ve chosen to label it as book 4 instead of book 3.5 so that Christmas with Dragons can be included as part of the series for the retailers and Goodreads (they will only link whole numbered books together).

In addition to the above, there will be the fun challenge of trying to celebrate Christmas after a dragon invasion. It’s not quite the same now that the grid is down and shopping for gifts can be hazardous to your health.  For extra fun, I’ve done a guest post today at Nocturnal Book Reviews listing the top ten difficulties in celebrating the holidays after an apocalypse.  Be sure to check it out here:

Now for the official cover reveal!

This was a fun cover to have designed.  The model found it quite interesting to be posing in a Santa hat while holding a sword.  Hope you like it!  Feel free to leave a comment below letting me know what you think and be sure to stop by Karina’s blog at Nocturnal Book Reviews to check out the top ten list.

  1. I love the cover, but are did the dragons kill the reindeer? Is that Dasher being dragged behind the third dragon? Personally I’m in favor of it being Rudolf, not a big fan of Montgomery Ward.
